You can now bridge the gap between AI tracking and content execution. If your cited pages aren't ranking at the #1 spot in AI answers, use the new Optimize button in AI Tracker to jump straight into Content Editor. From there, use Auto-Optimize, Internal Linking, and AI Readability to secure your spot as the primary source for LLMs.

If any of your cited pages under the Owned Content filter underperform (aka are not on no. 1 spot), you can quickly optimize them directly from AI Tracker — so you can move from visibility insight to content action without leaving your workflow.

How it works

By connecting AI Tracker to Content Editor, Surfer now closes the loop between what AI sees and what you can fix. Here's what's new:

  • Instantly Identify Opportunities: Filter by your domain in the Sources tab to see which of your pages are already being cited—and which ones need a boost.
  • Maintain Momentum: If a Content Editor already exists for a page, you’ll see the Content Score right in the AI Tracker, allowing you to jump straight back into the editor to refine your strategy. If cited page doesn’t have its Content Editor yet, we will create it for you.
  • 1-Click Optimization: Use the new "Optimize" button to open chosen article in Content Editor. Then:
    • Click Auto-Optimize to instantly optimize for improved AI search citations and higher rankings in Google.
    • In Internal Links and click Request Links to get best internal links recommendations. You can review, add you own or insert them as is by clicking the “Insert” button.

Instead of toggling between tabs and manually setting up projects, Surfer now lets you act on AI search trends the moment you spot them.

Why it matters

AI visibility gaps are only valuable if you can close them. Until now, the path from "this page isn't getting enough citations" to "I'm optimizing this page" required jumping between tools, manually identifying keywords, and losing context along the way. This update removes all friction points.

This workflow is a game-changer if:

  • You manage high-authority sites: Ensure your most important pages get maximum AI exposure by refreshing them based on the latest visibility factors.
  • You want to scale visibility fast: Move from "monitoring" to "executing" in seconds, ensuring your brand stays top-of-mind for AI engines like Gemini or ChatGPT.
