Here’s a unique insight: 15% of our new customers come from LLMs like ChatGPT.
How did we do it?
We didn’t chase trends. We just stayed laser-focused on SEO for the past 3 years.
A recent Seer study found a strong link between top-ranking pages in Google and Bing, and how often they’re mentioned by LLMs.
So by doubling down on traditional SEO and building topical authority, we’re now getting picked up automatically—both for brand mentions and featured content in AI answers.
And here’s the kicker: we just launched a new feature—Sites—to help you do the same.
What’s new at Surfer 👇
Sites: your new SEO mission control
No more bouncing between tools in search of relevant insights. Sites is your new central hub for core SEO workflow—from research and planning, to auditing and monitoring—built on real data from your connected Google Search Console.
What you'll find inside:
- Dashboard (previously Reports) → Track your site's SEO performance and keyword movement.
- Content Audit (GSC-based) → Spot underperforming pages and refresh them with couple clicks.
- Topical Map (GSC-based) → Discover new content ideas based on what’s already working and where your content gaps are.
And that's just the start! Sites helps us provide smarter insights and weekly recommendations to pinpoint exactly where your efforts are needed next.
⚠️ Don’t miss them! Drag our emails into your Primary tab and add 📩 [email protected] to your contacts.
With Sites your SEO strategy will be up-to-date, data-driven, and competitor-proof.

Smarter outlines, faster
The Outline tab in Content Editor just leveled up. It now works with Insert Outline and shows you what your top-ranking competitors are doing—so you can benchmark or repurpose like a pro.

Here’s how to use it:
- Open any article in Content Editor
- Go to Outline tab
- Click Insert Outline and choose a template:
- SERP-based (the default option, which is based on the rephrased, most-used headings from your competitors)
- One of the pre-set templates (landing page, comparison page, product description—you can further customize each)
- …or build your own from scratch and then pick it
- Wait a moment for the outline to load

💡 You can also add extra writer notes at the bottom of the tab—it’s especially handy if you’re working with external writers and want to leave them more detailed instructions.

New WordPress plugin version
Our latest WordPress plugin now supports tables for both Gutenberg and Elementor.
We also fixed a pesky issue with Elementor exports—no more content getting squished into one component—and fixed other minor bugs.
To get the good stuff, just update your plugin to the newest version.
