Let’s dive in 👇

New study: up to 25% more AI citations with Facts

Our research is in: the more complete your factual coverage, the better your performance. Filling content gaps with Facts boosts your chance of ranking in Google and in AI-generated results by upwards of 25%. Depth = visibility.

If you haven’t used it yet, Facts highlights what your content is missing—based on live SERPs and LLMs. Add them manually, via Surfy, or let Coverage Booster do the heavy lifting (think Auto-Optimize, but for facts).

Users on the old guidelines UI can find Facts in the Facts tab. Those with the new Workflow tab can access it under Write and Optimize → “Explore missing Facts.”

Tips to Try Today:

  • Use Facts to diagnose content gaps
  • Add them with Coverage Booster in one click
  • Improve AI citation chances across ChatGPT, Gemini & Perplexity
  • Want a full workflow? Use our Content Editor checklists →

Facts go global—now in 15 languages

Facts are now multilingual. Whether you’re writing in Japanese, German, Dutch, or Spanish—our upgraded engine finds relevant facts and serves them in your language. No more switching tabs or losing context. Just smarter, native coverage.

Language detection happens automatically based on your Content Editor setup. Supported languages now include: Czech, Danish, German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish.

This feature is currently in beta. To share feedback, email [email protected] or use the “Leave feedback” option via the support icon in-app.

Tips to Try Today:

  • Try Facts in a non-English Content Editor and give a Coverage Booster a try
  • Use multilingual support to improve AI reach for your localized pages
  • Compare suggestions between languages to spot international content gaps to fill

AI Tracker now refreshes daily (and is included in plan Scale)

Fan-out queries in Keyword Surfer—see what ChatGPT actually searches

Ever wonder what ChatGPT really looks up before answering your prompt? Now you can see it. Keyword Surfer’s newest feature reveals the fan-out queries ChatGPT runs behind the scenes—typically 2–5 semantically rich searches that power its response (currently supporting ChatGPT-o3, -o4, and -o4-mini models).

If you haven’t used it, Keyword Surfer is our free Chrome extension that turns everyday browsing into keyword research. And now, it opens a window into how AI thinks.

Tips to Try Today:

  • Install the extension and run a prompt like “best running shoes” using GPT-o3 in the web app
  • Review the fan-out queries it used to answer and use that data to build smarter content clusters
  • Connect insights with Topical Map and Facts to start ranking for the most important queries and improve AI citations

What does ChatGPT really search before answering?

Turns out, AI models don’t just answer your question. They fan it out into 2–5 hidden sub-queries—rephrasing, expanding, and exploring related angles to build their response.

We analyzed 1,600 prompts to reverse-engineer how LLMs like ChatGPT and Perplexity think when generating answers. You’ll never see AI results the same way again.
